19 Days of Radical Self-Love: Day 5, Creativity

Our creative voices are often stifled because of the external pressure to conform. Artistry is often looked down upon unless it’s been validated by the standards of the elite, and it can cause us to shy away from connecting with our creative side.

It doesn’t matter what it is! You can write a poem, create a digital collage, draw, sing your favorite song (no matter how you sound ;) ), dance your favorite dance (or at least try!), put together a nice outfit or do your makeup. It doesn’t matter what it is, as long as it allows your true self to be expressed.

Being creative is fun. You never know what you’re gonna get until you start. So just start, and be proud of whatever comes from it.
