Boss Ish Wednesday: Get Your Dream Life, Sis!

Hi lovelies, today I’m going to give you the assurance that your dreams are valid and reachable. We all need this at least twice a week.

First of all, I need you to know that you are worthy of love, compassion, happiness and fulfillment in this life; right here and right now as you’re reading this. No matter what anyone has said or done to you, you are worthy and will always be worthy. No one can take that away from you.

With that said, what do you want out of this life? Though it’s a tough topic to grapple with, we are not here long, and as Black Women, society is not designed for us live long and well (even though a lot of us do anyway, #blackdontcrack). So the first thing you need to do to begin shaping the life of your dreams is 1. Identify what you want. Is it love? Riches? Fame? A successful business? Identify it and you’re already on the way to getting the life you desire.

Ok, you’ve identified what you want, but do you deserve it? This is a trick question; YES YOU DESERVE IT. Remember the first paragraph about you deserving happiness? I started this post off with that for a reason because step two of getting your dream life is to 2. Believe it is yours and that you deserve it.

If I told you that you’re worth nothing, can’t achieve your dreams and aren’t worth love and fulfillment, wouldn’t you be offended? So why do you say those things to yourself? Or think those things about yourself and your life? That’s not the mindset of a winner. Say it with me ‘I deserve happiness, fulfillment, peace and prosperity out of this life. They’re already mine. They belong to me.’

Finally, stop stressing over it. 3. Know that everything you’re manifesting is coming into fruition. When you lay your head to rest at night do you worry about if you’re gonna wake up the next day? For a lot of us, we just have a knowing that we’re gonna wake up. With the same knowing you have that tomorrow exists and you’re gonna be alive to see it, know that your dreams are coming.

Your life is at your command. If you can visualize it, you can have it. So get comfy, visualize your ideal life—who you want to be, who you want around, any material possessions and relationships— and start believing it’s yours and you deserve it. Watch how your life begins to shift.
