MARK YOUR CALENDARS for our first Black Art, Joy and Healing Showcase on February 27, 2025 ðŸŽðŸŽ¼ Created by Sierra and Azé! Join us to celebrate black art, history, liberation & joy, and raise funds for the less fortunate with slam poetry, live music, comedy, and more! With moving spoken word poetry performances from award winning creative, poet, and author of Sunkissed Child: Poetry in Black Life, Sierra, and impactful prose by NAACP award winning writer Azé, and live comedy from improv specialist Katherine, Come out to our Black Art, Joy, & Healing Showcase Feb 27th at Buzo’s in Playa del Carmen from 7 - 9pm Let’s end Black History Month with a bang 💥 For five years our mutual aid initiative, the It’s in the Stars Project, has been operational, and using art-based content & events to raise funds for the homeless, struggling families, domestic violence survivors, and others in need. Now we are bringing our work to Playa del Carmen and would love for you to help us celebrate our people and give back! Tickets are FREE. Cancellation Policy
Donations are non-refundable. This is an in-person event in PDC. The event will also be streamed online with further details about the online streaming version being released at a later date. Please note, your donation helps support us in producing this event, it helps us with keeping our Its in the Stars Direct Mutual Aid Project operational, and helps give people in the community in need the resources to help them with housing, medications, food, and other necessities and support. A portion of your donation helps black people in the community directly get reprieve.
